Actress, singer, producer, entrepreneur Jennifer Lopez has sold over 35 million albums worldwide and starred in multiple box office number #1 films, including Monster-in-Law and The Wedding Planner. In 2001 the latter was the nation’s top-grossing film, while her album, J.Lo, was #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart. The two simultaneous #1 honors made Lopez the first woman in history to have a #1 movie and album in the same week. Prior to taking time off to have children, she was last seen in the feature films El Cantante, a drama about the life of salsa legend Hector Lavoe, and Bordertown, opposite Antonio Banderas, both of which she produced. In spring 2010, she will release her latest album, Love?, on Epic Records and the romantic comedy, The Back-Up Plan.

Building on the global success of its self-titled debut, Daughtry entered the chart at #1 with its second album, Leave This Town. The album’s first single, “No Surprise,” is the group’s fourth #1 hit, extending an extraordinary run of #1 singles that began with its Grammy-nominated, quintuple-platinum debut. The band’s new single, “Life After You,” is following the same path. The quintet launched its first-ever arena tour this fall and will perform everywhere from Michigan to Florida and Oklahoma to North Carolina before making stops at the American Music Awards and Salvation Army’s 2009 Red Kettle Dallas Cowboy Thanksgiving Day Game.

Multi-platinum, award-winning international superstar Fergie, who joined The Black Eyed Peas in 2002, released her solo debut, The Dutchess, in 2006. The Dutchess, which spent an astounding 94 weeks on the Billboard 200 albums chart, sold over 6 million copies worldwide and achieved triple-platinum status in the United States. It was propelled by the hit singles, “London Bridge,” “Fergalicious” (#1), “Glamorous” (#1), “Big Girls Don’t Cry” (#1), “Clumsy (#2)” and “Finally.” Fergie is the first artist since Christina Aguilera (in 2000) to score three #1s from one album. She has won three Grammy Awards and won the 2007 American Music Award for Best Female Artist (Pop/Rock).

The Black Eyed Peas set a record in August by having the longest successive stay at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart with 25 consecutive weeks at #1. “I Gotta Feeling” held the top spot for 13 weeks and “Boom Boom Pow” was tops for 12 weeks. The singles appear on THE E.N.D., the group’s fifth release and their first to debut at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The group recently celebrated two wins at the 2009 American Music Awards for Favorite Band (Duo or Group) in both the Pop/Rock and Soul/R&B categories.

Multi-talented Selena Gomez recently released her debut album Kiss and Tell with her band, The Scene. The album debuted at #9 on the Billboard 200 chart and sold 66,000 copies in the first week. Gomez is also known for her work as an actress starring as wizard Alex Russo in the hit Disney Channel series, Wizards of Waverly Place, which premiered in 2007.

Justin Bieber released his debut EP, My World, on November 19 with the first single, “One Time,” seeing success on the Billboard Hot 100. Bieber was discovered after posting videos on Youtube and now, at the age of 15, has already wrapped a tour with Taylor Swift.

Keri Hilson started writing songs at the age of 12 and performed in talent shows throughout Atlanta as a teenager. She worked as a vocal arranger and songwriter before recording her own album, In a Perfect World. The album features productions work by Timbaland and Polow Da Don, plus guest appearances by Justin Timberlake, Keyshia Cole and Lil’ Wayne. The album topped Billboard’s R&B chart and reached #4 on the Top 200.

California native Colbie Caillat recently released her new album, Breakthrough, featuring hit single “Fallin’ for You.” In 2007 Colbie’s nearly double platinum album CoCo debuted at No. 5 on Billboard’s Top 200 albums chart and remained in the top 20 of the chart more than half a year after the CD’s release. On October 21, Caillat returned with CoCo – Deluxe Edition, featuring the original 12 tracks plus nine additional recordings.

Award-winning, multi-platinum artist Robin Thicke will release his anticipated fourth album, Something Else, on December 15, including singles “Sex Therapy” and “Meiple” featuring Jay-Z.

Orianthi is a newcomer best known for her work as the lead guitarist for Michael Jackson’s planned This Is It comeback tour. The 24-year-old Australian recently released her critically-acclaimed album, Believe, and has worked with the likes of Michael Jackson, Carlos Santana, Prince and Carrie Underwood among many others.

One week after the most talked-about season finale of ABC’s The Bachelor, Melissa Rycroft stepped onto the dance floor in heroic fashion on Dancing with the Stars. Rycroft “waltzed” her way into America’s hearts and into a third-place finish on Season Eight of the hit ABC series. Previously she was a member of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and appeared on two seasons of CMT’s Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team. In her latest endeavor, Rycroft joined ABC News as a special contributor for Good Morning America, delivering fun and uplifting stories from across the country.

The specials are presentations of dick clark productions, inc. with Dick Clark, Ryan Seacrest and Orly Adelson serving as executive producers. Larry Klein produces.
